Pull Pen Paint 2018

A Year of Imagination, Imagery, and Intuition.

  Enroll in Course

In this year long course multiple teachers will share methods of using tarot, oracle cards, and other intuitive guidance systems to elevate our personal journaling, spiritual, and creative practices. The cards are creative and intuitive tools that when used intentionally can lead to deeper insights into who we've been, who we are, and who we can become.

This is a basic course for all levels and types of journalers. The course is designed with three kinds of journal keepers in mind: those who keep an analog or digital written journal, those who art journal, and those who blend words and images to create a visual journal. And it doesn't matter if you've never used a tarot or oracle deck before, there will be plenty of opportunity to explore online and we will journey together as we make our own oracle decks in March 2018.

While we will primarily use Tarot and Oracle cards in this course, we will also touch on, and incorporate, other intuitive guidance systems (astrology, numerology, crystals, chakras, and more).

The course features:

  • Video tutorials
  • LIVE virtual sessions
  • Inspirational Prompts
  • Inquiry-based activities
  • Tutorials on making several handmade journals to use over the course of the year
  • A private Facebook group
  • Virtual study and art sessions
  • Lots of love, support, and encouragement

The course is broken into three main focuses:

1. PULL -- Learning to use Tarot and Oracle Cards for creative exploration, self-study, and intuition training. This section also includes learning about other intuitive guidance systems like Astrology, Numerology, Crystals, and more.
2. PEN -- Exploring written responses as a tools for going deeper with your personal practices. Written journaling helps you reflect and excavate. We will journal together, archive, document, and record our experiences using the cards (and other systems) as guides.
3. PAINT -- Yup! That one is likely self explanatory, but in short, we will use paint (of all kinds) to interpret our connection to the cards and the messages they guide us to.

Each month we will alternate the focus area. Here's the plan:

Pull -- December 2017, March 2018, September 2018, June 2018, and December 2018

Pen -- January, April, July, and October

Paint -- February, May, August, and November

"I enjoyed learning more about the cards, going deeper with them, really using them as an ally and guide as we navigate through life. The study sessions were informative and I love that they were recorded, because it’s not always possible for me to join in live."

BINDI SHAH -- Bindi's journey to her soul offerings started in 2001 with a visit to an Ayurveda retreat in India. After discovering how good it felt to receive deep natural health-care and what a difference this made to her life, she embarked on a course in India to learn more of this ancient art. The year-long study in India included theory from the ancient scriptures, learning the poetic language of Sanskrit, vedic-astrology, yoga, meditation and herbs. It was an amazing experience and on returning to London, she set up her business helping people with the knowledge she had gained.

While treating people for various conditions, Bindi realised that the key to a lot of physical problems lay in emotional issues. She started meditating more herself and teaching more of this ancient practice as a technique for healing. Healing herself from a past life trauma led to the development of the Soul Healing Meditation. In this meditation the person directly connects with their inner self and essence, the soul. The insights received from this connection help the person heal on a deeper spiritual level.

Bindi has wonderful soul offerings in her online school and is writing her first book based on life coaching techniques which have helped her and her clients. Connect with Bindi on Instagram and on her blog.

"This course tied in all that I have studied and been fascinated with since I could read. It provided a safe place to discuss such things as well. The live events were fantastic. You curated a suburb panel of teachers. Blending art with all of it, brilliant. It was one of the most authentic and magical spaces I have been apart of in a very long time."

- Julie Baker, creativelyonward.com

I've never read tarot or oracle cards before. Should I still sign up?
YES!! Absolutely. If you are open to journaling with tarot and oracle cards, we'd love to have you. No prior experience required. We give you lots of guidance and ways that you can begin to learn how to use oracle and tarot cards.
Which tarot or oracle deck do I need for the class?
You can use any deck(s) you want. Each teacher will be sharing their favorites with you, but you can use any that you like. You can even use an app on your phone if you prefer a digital deck. Based on the 2017 course, you will likely find lots of decks mentioned during the course, so you may want to buy one deck to start and begin a deck wish list :-).
Is this class about religion or does it focus on Tarot and Oracle as a different kind of religion?
No. This class has nothing to do with religion in the traditional sense. It really is a class about learning to tap into your inner wisdom in order to journal, create art, and be present more fully using tarot and oracle cards as a tool. You can believe in anything you want. As long as you are positive, open-minded, kind, and respectful of others, we welcome you.
How does the class work exactly?
Great question! There are multiple teachers in this course. Some of them will teach their sessions live that are recorded and shared in the classroom. The other teachers will teach pre-record lessons for you to consume at your own pace. The content for the class is held here on this site and you can access it 24 hours a day 7 days a week. We also gather in a private online room that allows us to see, hear, and chat with one another during live teaching sessions, study group, and artsy meetups. We will pull cards, journal, make art, and be in community holding space for our inner guides to play. All live sessions will be recorded and shared after the class session. We will also be in community in a private Facebook group. As soon as you enroll, you'll have access to any lessons that have been loaded to the classroom. Finally, the course is broken into three main focuses: PULL -- Learning to use Tarot and Oracle Cards for creative exploration, self-study, and intuition training. This section also includes learning about other intuitive guidance systems like Astrology, Numerology, Crystals, and more. PEN -- Exploring written responses as a tools for going deeper with your personal practices. Written journaling helps you reflect and excavate. We will journal together, archive, document, and record our experiences using the cards as guides. PAINT -- Yup! That one is likely self explanatory, but in short, we will use paint (of all kinds) to interpret our connection to the cards and the messages they guide us to. Over the course of the year, we will alternate the focus each month, starting with PULL in December 2017.
When are the live sessions?
The live sessions are all at various times. We try to take into account multiple time zones as we plan the sessions. A schedule will be posted when dates and times for live sessions have been finalized.
What if I can't attend any of the live sessions?
That's okay. Each session will be recorded and posted in the classroom within 24 hours. You don't have to be with us in the session to benefit from the content.
Will I be able to get a tarot card reading during the class?
I'm glad you asked that :-). While this is not a class about reading tarot for others, we do have several masterful and professional tarot readers teaching this year. Each of them will be able to share with you their tarot services should the need arise. That will be something you'll handle with that teacher privately. It is not included in the cost of the class.
What happens when I sign up?
Well, the first thing is that we all do a happy dance! Then, once we've settled down, you can access the class immediately. Depending on when you register, you'll see content in the classroom waiting for you. You can begin your journey immediately. You'll also get an email in your inbox welcoming you with some details to get you started.
When does the early bird rate end?
The $111 price goes up to $122 on January 1, 2018.
When is the last day to register for the 2018 session?
The last day to register for 2018 is August 1, 2018.
